Seattle Specific Trash Talk Presentation

December 2, 2023 @ 5:00 am 6:00 am PST

Are you confused about recycling? Did you know that what is recyclable actually varies greatly depending on your geographic area? In this presentation we will deep dive into how to recycle, how it works, and resources specific to Seattle in this Waste Sorting 101 presentation in collaboration with Trash Talk Project, Recology King County, and Seattle Public Utilities. We will talk in depth about plastic and how to recycle it (or not), multi material items, how to identify if something is recyclable, and how the recycling system works.

On December 2nd, we have two Trash Talk events in collaboration with Seattle Reconomy, Recology King County, and Seattle Public Utilities at the NE Seattle Tool Library. From 1pm-2pm, we have limited availability for an information session that hopes to simplify the complexities of recycling.

Starting directly after the information session, we will be accepting some of your holiday, hard-to-recycle items like light bulbs, batteries, and string lights. This second part is open for anyone to swing by from 2pm-3pm!
